Here’s how your pet spends a great “yard” day: sleeping, chasing butterflies, sleeping again, eating grass, sleeping again, chewing a bone, watching bugs, sleeping again.
The environment
When outside, cats and dogs use their brain differently and spend more time thinking about how to put their senses to use. It’s also an opportunity for them to discover how nice it is to be outside!
This pet park will give them room to have fun and breath in the fresh outdoor air while remaining safe and sound.
What do i need?
Did you know that exercise pens are simply perfect for setting up a great pet park where your animals can go about their favorite occupations? Opt for a pen large enough to allow your pet to stretch, but also interact with its environment.
Don't forget the stake and the leash. Your kitty or your pup could get excited, jump and try to escape from their little personalized area at the sight of a little fury friend such as a squirrel. Also, you are assured that your faithful companion will not go to for number 1 or 2 at the neighbors! Make sure the leash is attached to a harness rather than a collar (from the stake) to avoid strangulation.
Install the pen in a quiet location. Create a nice relaxation area with a bowl of water, a cushion and why not a cooling mat? Make sure there is a source of shade at all times of the day, taking into account the movement of the sun. The important thing is to make sure he is well and can enjoy the summer safely. Add a few toys and a bone if you have a dog.
For their little “needs”
What if your fury friends need some bathroom time?
Dog:
- a training pad is the perfect solution, just make sure it is in a corner a little further away from its water, food and toys
Cat:
- you can take its litter box outside while its in the park, but make sure it is in a corner a little further away from its water, food and toys
- a disposable litter is also an option, but same as previously, make sure it is in a corner a little further away from its water, food and toys
REMEMBER - IMPORTANT
Remember that in hot weather, there should be no use of the park! Keep your pet indoors, nice and cool, to avoid a heat stroke.
Happy summer with your furry family!
